On Friday, May 15th 2009 and throughout the month of May, millions of Americans across the country celebrated Endangered Species Day. Parks, wildlife refuges, zoos, aquariums, museums, libraries, schools, conservation organizations and community groups across the country held events to learn about endangered species, the threats to their survival, and the ways we can protect them.
