• The best sources of information on species listed under the Endangered Species Act are the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s, Endangered Species Program website and the National Marine Fisheries Service Endangered Species website .
• The best source of information on international species facing extinction is the World Conservation Union’s Red List of Threatened Species
• The United Nation Environmental Program’s World Conservation Monitoring Centre, especially its Animals Database
• NatureServe perhaps the leading source for information about rare and endangered species and threatened ecosystems.
• American Museum of Natural History Endangered Species Exhibit. You can walk through the exhibit online. Has great information about the causes of extinction and in-depth looks at a couple of examples. American Museum of Natural History Hall of Biodiversity (6th Extinction)

• The American Museum of Natural History "Resources for Learning" webpage has special section on biodiversity that includes an endangered species game. A great activity for grades 3 and up kids can download the game, create the game board?and connect to biodiversity?before they even play the game. This game focuses on extinct and endangered animals, and the protections offered by the Endangered Species Act.
