Endangered Species Day Celebration at Rushmore Civic Center,

Wildlife and conservation groups and members of the public will celebrate endangered animals, with a special focus on the black-footed ferret, at an event in Rapid City on May 21. The free event will include educational presentations, videos and informational booths on the local wildlife groups in your area. Pizza, popcorn and salad and beverages will be served.
Additional Information: The event will highlight South Dakota’s Wildlife Diversity Program and the contributions of Wind Cave National Park to black-footed ferret recovery. Sponsoring groups include the National Park Service, Prairie Dog Coalition, The Humane Society of the United States, Norbeck Society, Sierra Club, World Wildlife Fund, Defenders of Wildlife, Prairie Hills Audubon Society, Biodiversity Conservation Alliance, and the Izaak Walton League of America.
